Because we’ve invested our hearts, souls and a lot of thought into creating an agency we can be proud of, we’re almost obsessive about choosing the right people to work with.

Not that we’re unfriendly – quite the opposite! It’s just that we believe great work and even greater results, depend on getting the right chemistry as a catalyst to our creativity.

So, wildly diverse as our clients may be, each and every one of them is a kindred spirit – and we like to think they enjoy working with us just as much we love working with them!

How do we find that very special chemistry? There’s no secret formula, when we strike up a beautiful new relationship there’s no stopping us from shouting it from the rooftops!

Dan Rooney
Managing Director

Dan has a reputation of being a spirited, innovative and focused Director with vast experience within the world of advertising.

He started his career in 1994 as a trainee Media Planner / Buyer for one of the UK's largest direct response agencies and quickly found an eye for a deal – something our clients continue to benefit from.

Dan has strong commercial acumen, aligned with incredible attention to detail, organisation and industry knowledge. Dan's strong relationships with all of our clients means he knows what they want and delivers, not only through his knowledge, but his media buying and negotiating skills.

Outside of work, Dan is a devoted follower of Arsenal, although he does not get to see the games as much as he would like now, and is trying to convince his 3 daughters that they should follow in his footsteps!

Darren Kefford
Creative Director

Darren has over twenty five years experience in the creative industry, gained from his initial roots as a visualiser, evolving through to senior management positions. His father said "he could draw before he walked", so Darren's path was always going to be a creative one.

A true passionate creative thinker across all mediums, with a simple philosophy - regardless of medium, every project starts with a pencil, and never lose sight of what you are aiming to communicate."

Away from work, Darren loves all commercial art and design, getting his hands dirty restoring a '65 E-type, playing bass guitar, sculpting and painting private commissions, a season ticket holder at Thames Iron Works (West Ham United - more of an endurance than hobby) and once met a member of the Who by posing as a limo driver.

Jon Hardy
Studio Manager

Jon is the 'Go To Man' at Media Alive, as his skillset is vast and varied. His industry experience spans over 20 years working within creative studios at London agencies and media owners alike, including Archant Newspapers.

With a 'can-do' attitude to everything that he is involved in, he provides a safe pair of hands to our clients from design for print and digital media, through to artworking requirements across all media formats.

Our clients, old and new, are always delighted with the levels of service that Jon and the studio team provide, as no task is ever met with "no, this can't be done". Jon will strive to find a solution to all tasks presented, and normally has the answers too.

Jon has a passion for music, especially playing the bass guitar, and actually played in a band that was signed to a record label in the 90's! Football also plays a big part in Jon's life and he is an avid Tractor Boy (Ipswich Town FC, not the vehicle used on farms).

Terry Smith
Graphic Designer

Terry has worked with some very talented individuals at some equally great companies within the advertising, direct marketing and financial sectors.

Around thirteen years spent at just two agencies in particular – Saatchi & Saatchi and EHS.

At Saatchi & Saatchi Terry added valuable design & advertising agency experience, working on National Lottery, Woolworths, Toyota and was brand guardian for Staples advertising and liaised with their sister agency Bates Dorland in Paddington.

After many rewarding years Terry secured a creative studio opportunity at EHS Havas 4D, one of the leading agencies in direct marketing, furthering his creative repertoire with AA, Mini, British Gas and as brand guardian on the Tesco & London Lines (Wagn, c2c & One) creative teams.

Armed with lots of experience Terry decided to try his hand at freelance creative services and fell straight into the senior in-house designer role at Tesco Head Office in Cheshunt. In 12 months he had helped oversee the running and expansion of the design team to five.

Outside of work, music is important to Terry. He has always been in bands, and written his own compositions.

Francesca Anton
Business Development Manager

Francesca has a passion for all things creative and business.

Working in marketing, whilst studying at the University of Sydney, she returned to London to study for the Chartered Institute of Marketing qualifications.

Francesca has a breadth of experience client-side across sectors, including professional services, finance, property, charity, public sector and education - where she most recently worked as a Head of Marketing and Communications.

She is committed to offering clients a blue chip service –understanding their business, helping them solve problems and achieve their goals. In her spare time Francesca is happiest reading a copy of the Financial Times, playing tennis, and enjoying the multiple creative and cultural delights on offer in London and elsewhere.

Amy Warner
Graphic Designer

With a life-long passion for creativity and design, Amy brings her youthful enthusiasm and 3 years post-graduate graphic design experience in the retail and leisure destination marketing sector.

She’s worked on numerous through the line marketing campaigns, incorporating experiential, PR, social media and advertising. One notable success was being part of the strong team of creatives, responsible for the Purple Apple award winning Christmas campaign for intu Trafford Centre, featuring original imagery from the feature film ‘The Snowman and The Snowdog’.

In addition to her Mac wizardry, she’s a wacky creative thinker with a persuasive personality – evidenced by the times she convinced her partner to ‘grow’ out of a hole in the ground and even take a bath in the middle of a field of snow in the depths of a freezing cold winter, all in the name of her university degree.

Outside of work she’s an animal loving movie geek with a particular affection for her two feline fur babies, which has earned her the affectionate title of ‘crazy cat lady’ by her friends.
